Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

The position calls for passionate automotive researcher, dedicated to customer insights and to bring strategic clarity to leadership of what customer really wants.

1. Research market conditions and lead feasibility studies to determine market demand for existing and new products or services

2. Develop customer typologies from the scratch

3. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data (surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires) or arrange to obtain existing data.

4. Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, all in different design/analysis stages

5. Proactively anticipating, troubleshooting, overcoming, and/or escalating challenges for planned researches

6. Lead, along with agencies - Questionnaire Design, Analysis, Reporting

7. Managing agencies and their respective leads, from beginning to end, including making actionable recommendations to support key business objectives

8. Manage internal stakeholders – advance product planning, marketing, product planning

9. Lead the prioritisation of research projects, ensuring strategic alignment with all stakeholders. Conduct competitive/industry/market trend research in specific segments, markets, and delivery modes using appropriate specialized data sources

10. Executing all research plans and managing/monitoring field activities

11. Budgeting, financial control and expense management for all researches

12. Synthesis and communication of both primary and secondary research findings into actionable insights

Experience

5+ years’ experience in Qualitative Consumer Insights role at one of the leading market research agencies or automotive organisations. Should have handled Product research, UX/UI, design thinking approaches and generic research

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Master’s in psychology/ Anthropology / Semiotics. Working knowledge of statistics and multivariate analysis.

General Requirements

Key Competencies:

1. Experience in automotive Primary Qualitative Market Research with practical knowledge of research methodologies like Focus group discussions, direct interviews, archetype/ ethnographic research, UX/UI and design thinking would be preferred

2. Ability to moderate brainstorming workshop sessions with multiple stakeholders

3. Excellent Idea presentation skills-making razor sharp presentations, through Power Point, Excel Sheets or MS Word documents with clear business logic to Senior Management 4. Reasonable understanding of Automotive trends, segments and current dynamics and the ability to draw market valuable insights and intelligence reports

5. Cross-functional working skills to collaborate with functions like Design, Innovation, R&D, Marketing Services

6. Communication & Networking skills within and outside the Organization to build good relations with market research partners

7. Strong interest and knowledge of consumer electronics and automotive industry is desirable


Job Segment: Automotive
