You will take ownership of material shortages by proactively identifying, communicating, and resolving potential disruptions through efficient coordination with suppliers and internal teams. Your role will involve close monitoring of sourcing and production shops to expedite material readiness aligned with daily production targets, thereby supporting uninterrupted manufacturing processes.

You will be responsible for rigorous Raw Material (RM) inventory control and management, achieving and sustaining inventory accuracy standards of 98% or greater. Monitoring inventory trends to recommend cost-saving initiatives, including Bill of Materials (BOM) cost reduction strategies and supplier invoice digitalization efforts, forms a key part of your remit. Additionally, support the Spare Parts Division by anticipating and fulfilling in-process parts requirements, swiftly responding to emergency demands for Tractor Off-field (TOF) parts to ensure a consistent and responsive supply chain. Your analytical skills will be applied to generating, reviewing, and interpreting Management Information System (MIS) reports related to production execution, including coupling updates, hold-up advisories, and critical material status, enabling data-driven decision-making for seamless production flow.
Freight cost monitoring and reduction will also be in your purview; you'll track total freight expenses, identify opportunities for premium freight minimization, and implement cost-saving measures.

Experience

Candidates should possess 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain roles within manufacturing environments, preferably within the automotive or heavy machinery sectors. Proven expertise in managing production material requirements and inventory control is essential. Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly Production Planning & Control, sourcing, and warehouse operations, will be highly valued.
Hands-on experience with SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems is expected, enabling robust planning, tracking, and execution of procurement activities. Demonstrated capability in analyzing data and generating comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports is desirable.
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted material flow under tight schedules are critical to excel in this role.

Industry Preferred

Preference will be given to candidates with experience within the Automotive Industry, particularly those involved in manufacturing of farm machinery or tractor components. Exposure to industries focused on complex production supply chains, high-precision inventory management, and cost optimization will be advantageous.
Familiarity with automotive component sourcing, spare parts management, and logistics cost control in heavy vehicle sectors will strengthen candidacy.
Experience in organizations that emphasize digital transformation efforts, such as supplier invoice digitization and integrated material management platforms, will be considered a plus.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a strong preference for Mechanical Engineering disciplines due to the technical understanding required for the role. This foundational qualification supports comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and material handling needs.

Additional certifications or training in supply chain management, procurement strategies, or inventory optimization would be beneficial and reflect a commitment to continuous professional development.

General Requirements

Candidates are expected to have practical knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, with the capability to utilize these tools effectively for seamless production material planning and control.

Proficiency in SAP software is mandatory to efficiently handle procurement workflows, inventory tracking, and supplier management within integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) environments.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production context are essential.
