Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
| Maintenance Management: Ensure the effective upkeep and smooth operation of plant infrastructure, machinery, and utilities across the production facility, emphasizing minimal downtime and optimal functionality. |
| Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge in preventive and predictive maintenance for a variety of machinery including CNC Laser cutters, CNC Bending machines, Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), Lathes, Cylindrical and Surface Grinders, M1TR machines, Milling machines, and Band Saws. This includes planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and improve productivity. |
| Utility Systems Maintenance: Maintain critical utility equipment such as Air Compressors, Diesel Generators (DG Sets), EOT and Jib Cranes, Forklifts, and Electric Stackers. Implement regular check-ups to guarantee operational safety and readiness. |
| Safety Oversight: Act as the Safety Officer for the Farm Machinery Product Division (FMPD), implementing and enforcing safety protocols including Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA). Ensure all safety documentation is compliant with industry regulations and best practices to create a secure work environment. |
| Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults, leveraging in-house skills or coordinating with external service providers to minimize operational delays. Employ root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and promote continuous improvement. |
| Installation & Commissioning: Lead the setup, installation, and commissioning of new machinery, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. |
| Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and safety departments to align maintenance strategies with organizational goals. Prepare detailed reports and maintain documentation of maintenance activities, incidents, and performance metrics. |
Experience
Applicants should possess a minimum of 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in maintenance roles within manufacturing environments, focusing on automotive or heavy machinery sectors.
Proven expertise in managing complex mechanical and electrical systems is essential, along with a demonstrated ability to lead maintenance teams and coordinate external contractors effectively.
Experience with CNC machinery, hydraulic systems, and industrial utility equipment maintenance is highly valued.
Background in implementing safety management systems, including conducting risk assessments and maintaining HIRA documentation, will be considered a significant advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills evidenced by hands-on troubleshooting experience and successful resolution of mechanical or electrical failures under time constraints.
Industry Preferred
Preferred industries include automotive manufacturing, farm equipment production, heavy machinery, and industrial plant operations.
Experience in organizations focused on precision manufacturing or large-scale equipment assembly will align well with the responsibilities of this role.
Familiarity with sectors involving heavy-duty equipment such as agriculture machinery, construction equipment, or material handling machinery will enhance your ability to adapt quickly and contribute meaningfully.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliances specific to these sectors will support effective maintenance and safety management.
Qualifications
Applicants are expected to hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Professional certifications related to maintenance management, safety (such as NEBOSH or equivalent), or specialized equipment operation will be advantageous.
Additional training in predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis or thermal imaging, is encouraged.
Competence in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to plan and track maintenance activities is preferred.
