Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Focussed approach towards continuous and sutainable improvement in foundry processes and customer quality indices.
2. Proactive actions to ensure adequate process controls for preventing defects at all stages in the process as well as products (castings).
3. Develop FTR Castings within time targets through effective design reviews, tool design inputs/reviews, right methoding alongwith proper process flow (sand parameters to core making to moulding process).
4. Coordination & review with Tooling manufacturer including methoding concept finalization & timelines.
5. PPAP Approvals of new as well as ECN Castings.
6. Regular monitoring of castings during production ramp up and volume production. 
7. Overall monitoring of pattern shop activities which includes tool maintenance, action planning to minimize rejections  & improvement activities.
8. Drive Kaizens, Yellow belt/Green belt projects, QMS practices in line with The Mahindra way (TMW).
9. Identify training needs & provide technical training ( methoding concept, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow diagram etc) to team members.
10. Drive safety & 5S activities within department.

B Tech/BE/DME Mechanical/Automobile / Prioduction Engg. Btech/ADC from NIFFT

General Experience

EXPERIENCE: BE/Btech 12-18 years / DME 17-22 years

INDUSTRY : Foundry with High Pressure Moulding Line & Automated Core Shop

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES.

1. Analysis of reports from Simulation softwares e.g Magma, Pro Cast/ Arena Flow etc.
2. In depth knowledge of sand properties, analysis of various Lab reports including metallurgical reports.
3. In depth knowledge and intepretation of 2D Drawings.
4.  Hands on experience of methoding/ Tooling designing in 3D softwares.
5. In depth knowledge of various casting defects for effective analysis & action planning.

6. Knowledge of foundry manufacturing processes (especially High Pressure Moulding, Automated core making, Robotic handling , Sand Plant & Melting) & Casting machining.
7. Knowledge of PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc ;
