Responsibilities

This position involves leading sustainability initiatives, forming ESG Roadmaps with action plans, and collaborating with multiple plants in planning & tracking sustainability CAPEX projects.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Develop and implement the site-level Sustainability Roadmap aligned with corporate ESG goals.
•    Identify improvement opportunities in energy, water, waste, emissions, circularity, and resource efficiency.
•    Track regulatory trends and ensure future-readiness (carbon regulations, waste norms, EPR, ESG disclosures).
•    Conduct technical feasibility studies for sustainability projects: Energy efficiency,Water conservation & recycling, Waste reduction & circularity initiatives, Emission reduction, etc. 
•    Develop business cases with CAPEX, OPEX, payback, NPV, IRR, and lifecycle cost analysis & Shortlist and prioritize projects using ROI and sustainability impact scoring.
•    Prepare detailed financial justification reports for sustainability investments, Analyze long-term cost savings, risk mitigation, and compliance benefits.
•    Support the finance and operations teams during CAPEX approval cycles & Track post-implementation financial benefits vs. projected estimates.
•    Lead end-to-end execution of approved sustainability projects by coordinating with engineering, production, procurement, and external partners.
•    Develop dashboards and periodic scorecards for leadership review & Evaluate deviations and initiate corrective actions.
•    Prepare monthly/quarterly ESG performance reports for corporate teams.
•    Coordinate with SPCB, MoEFCC, CGWA, and third-party auditors as & when required & Prepare site for internal/external environmental audits.
•    Stay updated on new sustainability and decarbonization policies and Conduct awareness and technical training for all relevant stakeholders.

Deliverables

Key Deliverables:
•    Documented 3–5 year sustainability strategy with goals, initiatives, and budgets.
•    Detailed CAPEX business cases with technical and financial justification.
•    Monthly ESG Performance Dashboard on energy, water, waste, emissions, renewables, and compliance.
•    Sustainability Project Implementation Reports through Gantt charts, commissioning reports, performance verification.
•    Annual GHG Inventory & Carbon Footprint Report of Scope 1 and 2 emission calculations and reduction targets.
•    Compliance Documentation & Audit Readiness Pack
•    SA 8000 / Zero Waste to Landfill / Sustainability Assurance Audit's Non-conformance closure and certification sustainment.
•    Employee Training & Stakeholder Engagement Records through Trainings, awareness programs, sustainability campaigns.

Experience

Minimum 4-5 years

Industry Preferred

Auto and auto-ancillary , manufacturing & related

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental science, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
