Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As an Area Sales Business Manager at Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited (MEAL), you will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic growth and market penetration of our electric vehicle portfolio across your designated region. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and challenges within the electric vehicle landscape. You will innovate and deploy customer engagement initiatives across diverse sales channels, including physical showrooms and digital platforms, to maximize enquiry generation and conversion rates.

Key duties encompass overseeing the performance and development of the dealer network, guaranteeing exceptional standards of customer service, operational compliance, and ethical business conduct. You will coordinate with finance and logistics teams to ensure seamless billing and vehicle delivery processes, enhancing customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.

Additionally, you will lead retail operations management, including planning and executing ETBR (Expected to Be Released) activities and orchestrating activation campaigns that elevate brand awareness and stimulate market demand. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in driving hyperlocal digital marketing initiatives targeting grassroots market segments, enabling tailored communication and engagement strategies.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including technical and infrastructure departments, will be essential to ensure readiness for both sales and electric vehicle charging infrastructure deployments. You will manage special activation campaigns and liaise with regional stakeholders to adapt strategies responsively within a fast-evolving automotive ecosystem.

Experience

Successful candidates will typically possess between three to five years of progressively responsible experience in sales roles, with a minimum of two years dedicated to the automotive industry. This experience should encompass strategic sales planning, territory management, and dealer network development within competitive automotive markets.

An established track record of enhancing customer engagement and successfully executing market expansion initiatives is highly desirable. Candidates with hands-on experience in the electric vehicle sector or similarly technology-driven automotive segments will have a distinct advantage, demonstrating an understanding of the unique market dynamics and customer expectations in sustainable mobility.

Proficiency with digital sales platforms and data-driven decision-making processes is essential. Candidates should be adept at leveraging analytics to optimize sales strategies, monitor key performance indicators, and extract actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
