Buyer - SSU - BIW

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Collate, compile, and maintain a comprehensive supplier databank covering existing supplier facilities for all part families within the BIW AD Group.
• Engage with existing suppliers to understand upcoming expansion plans, capacity upgrades, and technological improvements, and update the supplier databank accordingly.
• Conduct market studies to assess capacities and facilities of alternate suppliers, and explore potential sourcing options for Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) as required.
• Perform market benchmarking of supplier facilities with respect to technology, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Project Teams to understand process and technical requirements and recommend suitable supplier panels for PSP (Product Sourcing Proposal).
• Lead the annual MSP (Master Sourcing Plan) supplier panel review and ensure timely sign‑off.
• Coordinate and support 3DX clearing of PSPs.
• Conduct supplier visits for evaluation and assessment whenever required.
• Strong Commercial Acumen & Souring Background.

Preferred Industries

Education Qualification

B.E./B. Tech (Mechanical/Production/Automobile), MBA preferrably

General Experience

4 to 8 yrs experience in sourcing, supplier development, or procurement.

Critical Experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers and cross‑functional teams
