Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Continuous research of design trends for automotive, product, fashion, lifestyle & technology for global & local context.

Understand in totality the brand & design vision, product concept, target customer, program Scope, vehicle architecture, USP's, technical & commercial parameters of the project.

Create multiple design concept sketches through free hand sketching for Initial Ideation and Photoshop illustrations based on the above parameters in multiple Perspective Views, showing clarity of 3D Form for the entire Vehicle and the details with high Quality illustrations to express Designs for various Audiences at various stages in the development cycle within the organization and for external usage in order to develop production cars, concept cars & demonstrators.

Well versed with giving Design and Art Directions to Digital modellers to explain / Resolve the 3D volume & details, and to ensure the design intention captured as accurately as possible in Digital Form.

Ability to give Design and Art Directions to Clay modellers through appropriate method to explain / Resolve the 3D volume & details, and to ensure the design intention captured as accurately as possible in Physical Form / 3D Mock-ups.

Confer with engineering teams to converge on design intention & incorporation of technical inputs while keeping the design intent.

Make design presentation to top management at various stages.

Experience

As a developer and a passionate data geek, you have at least 3 years of practical experience in data science.

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Transportation Design/Industrial Design/ Product Design.

2 - 10 years of automobile styling related development experience; more than 1-2 vehicle project development experience. (Age is not a criteria if the Designer is exceptional)
