Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Position: DGM Business Development Telematics - Farm Technology Organisation
Market Research & Strategic Planning
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape in telematics.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, dealers, and technology partners.
- Drive revenue and profitability through monetizable telematics solutions.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand market presence.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to align product, sales, and deployment with growth objectives.
Solution Selling & Partnership Building
- Build and manage partnerships with hardware providers, software developers, and system integrators.
- Ensure customer-centric product development based on inputs from OEMs, farmers, and internal teams.
- Deliver tailored telematics solutions (GPS tracking, fleet management, diagnostics, driver analytics).
- Define and monitor KPIs such as adoption, uptime, user engagement, and data quality.
Driving Aftermarket KSK B2B Growth
- Generate leads and ensure successful installations of KSK solutions across channels.
- Optimize channel inventory, reducing overstock while maintaining balance for microdealers.
- Collaborate with teams (Carnot, FD, SD, Krish-e) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure channel profitability through streamlined processes and sales enablement.
Stakeholder Management & Engagement
- Lead and mentor OEM deployment SPOCs to ensure strategic alignment.
- Establish effective communication with internal teams (sales, marketing) and external partners (OEMs).
- Resolve cross-functional issues to meet timelines and partner expectations.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Carnot) to develop bundled solutions.
- Drive revenue, partnerships, and sales targets (quarterly and annual).
- Track and benchmark competitor offerings, pricing, and partnerships.
- Provide regular updates on business performance and market insights to leadership.
Experience
12+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the telematics, IoT, or technology industry.
Familiarity with big data, cloud-based agricultural solutions, and predictive analytics applications is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of telematics solutions, SaaS platforms, and IoT technologies.
Industry Preferred
IoT, or technology industry.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
