Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Service Contract Cell is a cell within SSU ( Strategic Sourcing Unit) aimed at consolidating, negotiating and finalising all the services and FOS related contracts at AFS level.

This special cell will empanel suppliers, RFQ contracts, negotiate and award contracts at AFS level by leveraging strategies to bring synergy and economies of scale so as to deliver maximum value to all the businesses of AFS.

The above-mentioned Service Contracts include Packaging (Inbound, outbound, CKD, SKD & CBU)

Understanding the requirements (Scope of Work) from various user departments

Decide the vendor panel and Float RFQs wherever necessary.

Receive and Analyse quotes and Decide Target Price

Conduct Negotiations and Achieve Target Price as jointly decided by senior management.

Domain knowledge on Packaging commodities and purchasing processes.

Supplier assessment & Price settlement for packaging commodities like corrugation, polybags, VCI, Pine wood, rubber wood, Steel crates/ Skids, returnable packaging, etc

Should be costing and negotiations for packaging cost settlement. Identify competent supplier base and develop along with user.

Market intelligence and forecasting of Raw material prices - Commodity price trend tracking and benchmarking.

Differential Sourcing Strategy - Benchmarking of Technology and Prices in Industry, innovative packaging solutions, adapting best practices in other industries.

Experience in Packaging Purchasing and development, Hands on experience in SAP Ariba sourcing module preferred.

Value Engineering / Cost Reductions - Ability to generate new ideas of bringing Material cost either by selection of material, alternate Source or by optimization of design / process cost

Knowledge of SAP

Preferred Industries

Education Qualification

Any graduate with specialisation in Packaging or Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging (PGDP) from IIP preferred.

General Experience

5-7 years experience in packaging procurement preferred. Experience in Automobile, FMCG, e commerce packaging preferred.
