Manager - Data Lead

Key Responsibilities

Seeking a seasoned and passionate technocrat in space of data science in the pivotal role of Data Lead to spearhead our data management and analytics efforts. This role has a unique opportunity for making significant contributions to organization’s digital data driven journey. As Data Lead, you will guide our data strategy, ensure the quality and accuracy of data, and harness the power of complex datasets to generate meaningful business insights. Your expertise in data management will play a crucial role in driving the company's decision-making processes. Exceptional skills in data engineering, including data pipeline development, optimization, and data architecture design is expected.

  1. Data Engineering & Pipelines
    • Design and build robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and serve structured and unstructured data from diverse automotive systems (e.g., telematics, DMS, ERP, CRM).
    • Optimize data storage and access using modern data stack tools (e.g., cloud data warehouses, lakehouses)
  2. Advanced Analytics & Insight:
    • Apply statistical techniques and machine learning methods to derive actionable insights from sales, service, and manufacturing datasets.
    • Design and implement data architectures that support high-volume data processing and analytics. Actively monitor, refine, and report on the performance of data management activities.
    • Collaborate with various teams to implement data driven strategies and optimize performance to enable them with analytical findings and embed them into operations and decision-making.
    • Ensure data quality, security, and governance across all pipelines and storage solutions.
  3. Solution Delivery:
    • Work with solution architects and development teams to embed intelligent logic into digital platforms (e.g., demand forecasting, parts fitment, warranty analysis)
    • Lead experimentation and deployment of algorithms into production environments.
  4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication:
    • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
    • Stay updated on emerging tech stack and evaluate their potential adoption.

Skills

  1. Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in Python, SQL/PL and/ or similar programming languages
  2. Cloud Expertise:
    • GCP (Vertex AI, Pub Sub, Firestore, GCS and BQ, Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer)
    • Libraries & Frameworks: Must have proficiency in OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
    • Must have working knowledge of Computer Vision Models: YOLO (v3–v8), Faster R-CNN, ResNet
    • Toolkits & Platforms: Must have knowledge of NVIDIA DeepStream, TAO Toolkit
    • Deployment: Must have working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
    • Optional understanding and knowledge of edged devices (like Jetson Nano/Xavier), stream ingestion (Kafka/GStreamer), or multi-camera analytics
  3. Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Experience

8+ years of experience in, Data Science, IT Project Management, Team management

Industry Preferred

Added advantage for any experience in Automotive or manufacturing Industry

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Exposure to streaming data processing with tools like Dataflow or Apache Kafka.
  • Knowledge of modern data practices, including data lake houses and data mesh.
