Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Responsible for managing primarily qualitative & some quantitative research requirements for Auto - Personal & Commercial vehicles Nature of the researches include - Consumer segmentation, Post launch researches, Exploratory studies & Clinics for new product / variants etc. Also, focus on developing & maintaining rich data bank of key insights for the brands.
- Preparing research briefs in consultation with brand heads / managers, Product planning team.
- Understanding business objectives / issues, and designing research that caters to the business needs
- Recommend appropriate approach & agency partners for research projects based on relevant expertise/experience & cost efficiencies
- Recommend key action plans for brands post completion of the research, post alignment with brand team
- Manage relationships with external agency partners
Experience
Total 6 to 9 years of experience in market research / consumer insights field
Industry Preferred
Automotive experience (personal & / or commercial vehicle) is preferable, though not mandatory. Open to people from other industries
Qualifications
MBA; A Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Statistics / Commerce
General Requirements
Expertise in qualitative research with exposure to techniques like in depth interviews, group moderation, ethnographies
- Story telling – ability to stitch multiple info sources / data points & come up with a compelling story around the subject, of course with good presentation skills
- Strategic bent of mind – looks at bigger picture without neglecting the finer nuances
- Ability to analyze large data / number sets too
- General interest in automobiles preferred though not mandatory
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and limited inputs
Strong process orientation
- Interpersonal skills - ability to relate & collaborate with people
- High on initiative & advocacy
- Has visible energy and is able to charge/enthuse people around him/ her.
