Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
We are seeking an energetic Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic Consolidation team atMahindra & Mahindra Ltd. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for contributing to the preparationof consolidated financial statements, ensuring adherence to essential regulatory requirementsincluding the Companies Act, SEBI LODR, and relevant Accounting Standards. Your keen analyticalskills and diligence will be crucial in facilitating effective communication with various group companieswithin our organisation.
Your role will extend beyond compliance, as you will actively provide analytical insights that areintegral to informed decision-making by management. This is a unique opportunity to play a key part ina high-performing team, committed to excellence and accuracy in financial reporting.
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
Preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial results and statements according to theassigned portion, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Ensure compliance with all applicable Accounting Standards, Companies Act, and SEBI LODRrequirements with regards to financial reporting and regulatory filings, including managing relatedparty approvals and documentation.
Conduct inter-company reconciliations and ensure that all data presented is consistent andreliable.
Compile and evaluate group budgets to ensure they reflect the financial objectives and align withstrategic goals.
Foster interactions with group companies to gather necessary data and provide support in theaccounting of critical transactions, enhancing collaboration and teamwork.
Engage with auditors to facilitate the audit process, ensuring that all financial information istransparent and accessible.
Analyse key events and transactions to determine their accounting implications, advisingmanagement on necessary actions.
Stay abreast of accounting developments and proactively plan for their implementation within theteam.
Drive improvements in processes, embracing automation where feasible to enhance efficiency andreduce the time required for completion of accounting activities.
Collaborate closely with team members, providing support where needed to foster a positive andproductive working environment.
Experience
We are looking for candidates with 0-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, specifically within acorporate finance or consolidation environment. Strong foundational knowledge in financial reporting isessential.
Previous experience working with consolidated accounts or in a statutory audit capacity will be viewedfavourably. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing financial landscapes andpossess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a qualification as a Chartered Accountant, demonstrating a commitmentto the profession and the ability to apply accounting principles effectively. Candidates should becommitted to continuous professional development and stay updated on industry trends and changesin legislation.
General Requirements
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Ind AS and SEBI LODR requirements. Familiarity withliterature from leading accounting firms regarding current issues, along with knowledge in USGAAP, is advantageous.
Possess familiarity with the latest technologies utilized in accounting and reporting functions, suchas Oracle Hyperion for consolidation purposes.
A proactive approach towards learning andapplying new tools will be an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential; you should be capable of building relationships acrossteams to facilitate collaboration and effective communication.
Exceptional clarity in communication, both written and verbal, is a necessity to effectivelyarticulate financial information to diverse stakeholders.
