Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Role Summary: The Deputy Manager - Internal Audit plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the organization's operational and financial processes through comprehensive audits and analytical reviews. This role involves collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify risks, verify compliance, and recommend improvements that align with the company's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of business processes and operational frameworks to effectively plan and execute audit engagements.
- Prepare detailed audit checklists and work papers that adhere to established internal audit methodologies and standards.
- Collect, scrutinize, and analyze financial and operational data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Lead and actively participate in audit opening and closing meetings, facilitating open communication with auditees and relevant parties.
- Draft comprehensive audit reports that clearly articulate findings, implications, and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with auditees to develop and monitor effective action plans ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
- Present audit results and insights to the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) and other senior management, fostering transparency and informed decision-making.
- Maintain meticulous post-audit documentation and records in compliance with company policies and professional standards.
- Conduct peer reviews to uphold the quality and consistency of audit processes.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives including investigations, strategic meetings, presentations, and budget planning activities to support continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
This role requires proactive engagement, strong analytical skills, and effective communication to support the organization’s governance, risk management, and control processes.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have between 0 to 4 years of practical internal audit experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Candidates should demonstrate a foundational understanding of auditing principles, risk assessment, and control analysis.
Industry Preferred
We prefer candidates with internal audit experience in the manufacturing industry, which provides valuable insight into production processes, supply chain management, and operational risks common within this sector.
Industry Exposure to Include:
- Large-scale manufacturing operations with complex workflows.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance standards applicable to manufacturing.
- Previous roles within corporate management services or audit departments that specialize in manufacturing business units.
Such industry knowledge enables candidates to assess process efficiency, cost control measures, and adherence to safety and quality standards effectively.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering, demonstrating a solid technical foundation relevant to manufacturing processes and systems.

Given the nature of the role, no travel is required, enabling a focus on core responsibilities within the Corporate Management Services division.
