Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Develop and support the implementation of the operating and financial plan required to deliver the Group’s strategic priorities. This position will work across Mahindra’s businesses at the Group level to translate strategy into actionable plans, strong governance, and high-quality performance insights.

To help ensure Mahindra’s strategy is translated into measurable financial outcomes by strengthening planning discipline, improving the quality and speed of decision support, and enabling leaders with forward-looking insights on performance, cash, capital allocation and key risks/opportunities across the Group.

  • Build a broad understanding of business challenges and how they impact the Group’s financial position through rigorous financial analysis, growth/return assessments, and project-based work.
  • Provide insights to support investment and capital-allocation decisions, including identifying new funding requirements in line with Group targets and business aspirations.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team with data-driven, predictive analysis; identify key risks and opportunities; and act as a sounding board for commercial decisions and strategy formulation.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Group’s cash-flow position, including cash forecasting and initiatives to improve working capital.
  • Eeview the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow to generate insights and provide decision support to stakeholders.
  • Develop and evaluate financial models to support strategic initiatives, including new business plans.
  • Drive and support financial process improvements, including automation of existing processes and systems, and you will help embed best practices across the Group.

Monitor Group investments, drive group company valuations, and engage with auditors and business teams to support impairment assessments and accounting standards compliance.

Experience

12 to 15 years of experience across core areas of Finance.

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

MBA (with an inclination to understand accounting) or a Chartered Accountant.

General Requirements

  • Exposure across multiple sectors/industries (preferred).
  • Experience in business partnering and delivering complex finance projects.
  • A track record of delivering value-added financial reporting and insights that enable decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of M&A analysis fundamentals.
  • Strong business planning skills.
  • Skilled in forecasting and budgeting.
