Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Overview

Oversee day-to-day Museum operations, ensuring seamless visitor experience, administration, financial management, maintenance and coordination with internal teams, artists, vendors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Visitor Engagement

  • Conduct guided tours for corporate, educational, internal and special groups.
  • Deliver engaging, audience-relevant experiences while ensuring visitor comfort and support.

2. Bookings & Visitor Communications

  • Manage Museum emails, bookings and visitor queries.
  • Coordinate booking slots, closures and website updates.
  • Maintain Google business information and manage visitor reviews and feedback.

3. Budget & Administration

  • Develop, track and manage annual Revenue and Capex budgets.
  • Coordinate with CIS, Brand, IT and other teams for budgeting and operational requirements.

4. Museum Operations & Maintenance

  • Ensure the Museum, exhibits and installations are maintained in pristine condition.
  • Coordinate with artists, vendors, CIS and IT for installations, repairs, technical issues and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage seasonal requirements, including monsoon preparedness and infrastructure-related issues.

5. Security & Visitor Management

  • Ensure adherence to Museum safety protocols and visitor decorum.
  • Manage visitor escalations, walk-ins and object-related incidents professionally.
  • Coordinate with security teams to ensure a courteous and safe visitor experience.

6. Vendor & AMC Management

  • Maintain artist/vendor databases, agreements and relevant documentation.
  • Track vendor bills, payments and Annual Maintenance Contracts.

7. Museum Photography

  • Coordinate photography of Museum objects and provide logistical and administrative support for shoots.

Experience

5–8 years of relevant experience in museum/gallery operations, hospitality, visitor experience, cultural institutions, events or administration.

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Graduate degree in Arts, Humanities, History, Museum Studies, Cultural Studies, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.

General Requirements

Strong operations and administrative management skills, including budgeting, vendor management, payments and documentation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in conducting guided tours and interacting with senior leaders, dignitaries, corporate groups, students and visitors.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, artists, vendors, security and technology partners.

Good planning and problem-solving ability, with a hands-on approach to resolving operational and maintenance issues.

Strong attention to detail and service orientation, with sensitivity towards visitor experience and safeguarding museum exhibits.

Comfortable working with MS Office, booking/web platforms and basic digital tools.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and occasionally support weekend visits/events, as required.
