Manager - Operations

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Aviation Operations:

·         Manage all aspects of aviation operations ensuring seamless and efficient workflow.

·         Oversee the preparation, review, and handling of pre-flight documents.

·         Coordinate with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and handle interactions with airport handlers.

·         Liaise with airport terminals, passengers, customs, and immigration authorities.

·         Maintain post-flight documentation for DGCA audits.

·         Ensure continuous monitoring and updating of DGCA/BCAS regulations pertaining to Non-Scheduled Operator Permits (NSOP).

·         Keep the Operations Manual updated as per the latest regulations and standards.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

·         Manage compliance with Duty Time Limits (FDTL) for crew members.

·         Coordinate and plan pilot training sessions.

·         Ensure timely renewal of pilot licenses.

·         Handle DGCA audits and inspections related to flight operations.

·         Oversee logistical arrangements for flight crews, including foreign exchange requirements.

·         Monitor aviation contracts and agreements for their expiry and manage renewals.

·         Track security deposits and advance payments made for flight operations.

·         Provide monthly and year-end financial provisions to the accounts department.

·         Prepare, submit, and monitor the aviation financial budget.

3. MIS & Billing Processes:

·         Process and clear vendor invoices in accordance with company policies.

·         Monitor aviation contracts, agreements, and financial records to ensure timely renewals and payments.

·         Ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting related to aviation operations.

4. Security Management:

·         Maintain up-to-date AVSEC credentials to perform the duties of Chief Security Officer.

·         Conduct and oversee security audits as required by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).

·         Manage the BCAS Security Program and oversee the issuance of Airport Entry Passes for all staff.

·         Obtain security clearances for the organization and its directors.

5. Coordination and Liaison:

·         Liaise with various aviation and airport authorities including DGCA, AAI, BCAS, airport operators, and Indian Oil, among others.

·         Facilitate communication and coordinate efforts between various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

·         Assist in general office administration tasks as needed.

Experience

8 to 12 years

Qualifications

·         A relevant bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Aeronautical Engineering, or related fields.

·         Relevant certifications and qualifications as required by relevant authorities in India.
