Senior Manager - FP&A

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
The Manager, FP&A will be part of the Group Corporate Office - FP&A team of the Mahindra Group. He/ she will work to provide accurate financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support decision-making processes.
The role requires a strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Financial Analysis
- Monitor financial results and estimates versus budget and previous periods, through close collaboration with business finance teams across group companies and businesses
- Performance tracking of financial and operating KPIs, as well as business scorecards
- Provide high-quality, detailed explanations for any variances, facilitated by an in-depth understanding of business levers and developments
- Preparation of material (presentations and dashboards) for Group CEO and Group CFO to review financial estimates
- Outside-in perspective through competitor analysis and benchmarking
- Deliver analysis on key risks, opportunities and return metrics during review meetings
- Developing view on potential impairment risk, leading discussion with auditors and next steps
- 'Step In Step Out' projects with group companies as needed
Others: Budget, Automation, AI and Community
- Assist in the preparation of the head office annual budget and periodic forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals. Monitor budgetary performance against targets, and provide recommendations to address any deviations
- Leverage Mahindra AI (Generative AI model) in tandem with the Group Technology Office (GTO) for finance use cases
- Work with IT team to drive process automation and management dashboards, enabling increased efficiency
- Drive initiative to build FP&A Community across the Mahindra Group (agenda TBD)
Experience
5-10 years of relevant work experience in FP&A/ Finance field
Industry Preferred
Work experience in FP&A/ Finance field
Qualifications
Preferably with CA qualification/ MBA Finance
General Requirements
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including accounting
- Proficiency in Excel is a must, proficiency in Powerpoint is preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse businesses and teams
- High degree of agility and flexibility, including ability to work in a fast-evolving environment
- Adept at time management
