Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and expert application of steel structures engineering and pre-engineered building systems, ensuring design optimisation and compliance with industry standards throughout project lifecycles.
- Lead detailed technical design and construction processes for infrastructure projects including roads, retaining walls, drainage solutions, pavements, and fabrication works, maintaining quality, safety, and timeline adherence.
- Integrate process requirements effectively with facility infrastructure, incorporating conveyors, overhead structures, paint shops, assembly and testing areas, supply modules, and machine shop foundations to support efficient operations.
- Conduct accurate and prompt investment estimations for both greenfield and brownfield projects, preparing data and analytical inputs to support robust business case development and decision-making processes.
- Exhibit advanced design capabilities in steel structures such as mezzanines, gantry cranes, conveyor supports, material handling systems, and EOT cranes, focusing on structural integrity and operational functionality.
- Assess structural integrity by identifying potential damages and loads, and devise comprehensive rehabilitation and strengthening plans to prolong service life and ensure safety compliance.
- Oversee utilities integration within civil infrastructure projects, managing development from initial planning through to execution including procurement cycles, ensuring seamless facility operations and stakeholder satisfaction.
This role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure development aligns with evolving operational needs. You will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering advancements and regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a formal academic qualification of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) specialising in Civil Engineering. General Experience
The role demands between four to eight years of progressive experience within the civil infrastructure or manufacturing engineering sector, focusing on design, project execution, and facility development.
Experience should encompass hands-on involvement in multidisciplinary projects, demonstrating the ability to manage complex engineering challenges effectively while coordinating with multiple stakeholders including design teams, contractors, and procurement specialists.
Proven track record in managing end-to-end project delivery within stipulated timelines, budgets, and quality expectations is essential. Familiarity with industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD and project management platforms enhances the ability to contribute substantively from day one.
Exposure to manufacturing settings or industrial infrastructure development is highly valued, providing practical insights into the unique requirements of plant-based structures and process integration.
Critical Experience
- Proficiency in preparing detailed plant layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent design software, enabling precise spatial planning and efficient utilisation of manufacturing space.
- Strong project management experience including scheduling, resource allocation, risk assessment, and quality control to ensure successful execution of infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable skills in on-site supervision and site handling, encompassing coordination of construction activities, safety compliance, and managing contractor relationships.
- Experience in equipment procurement processes, including specification development, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and integration of equipment into civil infrastructure projects to meet operational goals.
