Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As the Deputy Manager of Transmission Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in driving manufacturing excellence and operational efficiency within our assembly lines. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Leading efforts to control manpower costs by enhancing productivity, ensuring optimal utilization of resources on the production line.
  • Implementing cost reduction initiatives focusing on minimizing scrap, consumables, and labor expenses while maintaining quality standards.
  • Planning and monitoring departmental budgets to align with organizational financial goals and ensuring strict adherence throughout the fiscal cycle.
  • Driving SOP adherence and striving to achieve SPR improvements beyond 90%, reinforcing standardized operational procedures.
  • Analyzing defects data meticulously and formulating targeted countermeasures to reduce quality deviations and improve product reliability.
  • Monitoring and resolving market complaints by collaborating closely with customer service and quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction and early issue resolution.
  • Directing the Assembly Manufacturing team to successfully manage and control Product Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale (PQCDSM) metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of products in accordance with production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Facilitating coordination between internal departments, external vendors, and suppliers to drive process improvements and streamline workflows effectively.
  • Overseeing new product introduction phases and the implementation of mass production, ensuring smooth transitions from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Managing training programs for workers and staff aimed at skills development, compliance with safety protocols, and operational excellence.
  • Handling daily manpower management by resolving conflicts and disagreements promptly to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Motivating and inspiring teams to achieve high performance, regularly reviewing subordinates’ work and offering constructive feedback to support growth and development.
  • Conducting gap analysis focused on production losses, quality issues, and equipment breakdowns to identify areas for enhancement and drive corrective actions.
  • Ensuring synchronization and timely availability of parts across diverse models, contributing to seamless production flow and inventory optimization.
