Dy. Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infra for Agrregate Shop (Civil)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role:

To support planning, execution, commissioning and maintenance of civil infrastructure, buildings and utility-related structures for Aggregates Shop during Greenfield project implementation and plant operations.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Execute and monitor civil construction activities for Aggregates Shop, including industrial buildings, equipment foundations, roads, drainage systems and underground utility networks as per project schedules and quality requirements.
• Supervise construction of engine/transaxle machining and assembly foundations, test bed foundations, acoustic rooms, fuel storage areas, utility trenches and associated infrastructure to ensure readiness for equipment installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering and contractor teams for timely execution, progress monitoring and closure of project activities.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, construction quality standards, safety requirements and statutory regulations during project execution.

Operations & Facility Management Phase

• Support upkeep and maintenance of buildings, machine foundations, roads, drainage systems, utility trenches and other civil infrastructure within the Shop area.
• Execute preventive maintenance, civil repair works, facility modifications and infrastructure improvement activities to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Monitor contractor performance, certify work completion and ensure adherence to safety, quality and delivery requirements for maintenance and project activities.
• Maintain infrastructure records, prepare progress and maintenance MIS, support budget control activities and assist in future capacity expansion and facility enhancement projects.

Experience

5+ years in Civil Engineering, industrial building projects, infrastructure development with exposure to Greenfield automotive manufacturing projects is preferred. Experience in Aggregates Shop facilities preferred.
