Dy. Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infra for Press Shop (Civil)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role:

To support planning, execution, commissioning and maintenance of civil infrastructure, buildings and utility-related structures for Press Shop during Greenfield project implementation and plant operations.

Roles and responsibilities:

Greenfield Project Phase

  • Execute and monitor civil construction activities for Press Shop, including industrial buildings, heavy equipment foundations, roads, drainage systems, underground utility networks and associated infrastructure as per project schedules, quality standards and safety requirements
  • Supervise construction of press machine foundations, heavy equipment foundations, crane girders, industrial flooring, utility trenches and drainage systems to ensure infrastructure readiness for equipment installation and commissioning
  • Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering and contractor teams for timely execution, progress monitoring and closure of project activities
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, construction quality standards, statutory regulations and safety requirements during project execution.

Operations & Facility Management Phase

  • Support upkeep and maintenance of Press Shop buildings, machine foundations, crane supporting structures, industrial floors, utility trenches, roads and drainage systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Execute preventive maintenance, civil repair works, structural strengthening, flooring repairs, facility modifications and infrastructure improvement activities to support production requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance, verify work completion and ensure adherence to safety, quality and delivery requirements for maintenance and project activities.
  • Maintain infrastructure records, prepare project and maintenance MIS, support budget control activities and assist in future capacity expansion, equipment relocation and facility enhancement projects.

Experience

5+ years in Civil Engineering, industrial building projects, infrastructure development or plant engineering with exposure to Greenfield automotive manufacturing projects. Experience in Press Shop facilities preferred.
