Graduate Agri Trainee - Sales

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of dealerships to consistently achieve and exceed key business metrics such as sales volumes, market share expansion, customer collections, delivery targets, and ancillary parts sales.
  • Develop and maintain a viable and strategic distribution network; this involves the appointment of new dealers and sub-dealers to ensure optimal market penetration and coverage.
  • Ensure dealerships are staffed with suitably trained manpower in adequate numbers, promoting high-performance cultures and operational excellence.
  • Facilitate and coach dealer teams on the effective implementation of various proprietary systems and tools such as MSS and Panchatantra, driving operational efficiency and standardized processes.
  • Assess and enhance service infrastructure at dealerships, driving the adoption of service systems that elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute impactful local sales promotion campaigns and product launch events, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy and target audience engagement.
  • Provide comprehensive training for dealer sales personnel on pre-sales techniques, sales processes, and the technical features and updates of current and new products to maximize conversion and customer education.
  • Monitor and analyse competitor activities and market developments to gather actionable insights, enabling strategic responses to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Design tailored incentive schemes for dealers to motivate sales teams, enhance productivity, and promote alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain effective liaison with financial institutions and banks to explore innovative retail financing solutions, improving product affordability for customers and supporting dealership growth.

Experience

Total Experience - 0 to 1 year

Industry Preferred

Preferred candidates will have experience in industries closely aligned with the products and markets served by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, particularly within the Farm Division. These industries include but are not limited to:

  • Agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturing and sales.
  • Automotive dealership network operations and management.
  • Industrial equipment sales with extensive dealer and customer interfacing.
  • Retail financing sectors related to agriculture and automotive vehicles.
  • Companies specializing in farm equipment sales, parts distribution, and service infrastructure maintenance.

Familiarity with the agricultural landscape and dealer ecosystems will greatly enhance the candidate's ability to succeed in this role.

B.E/B.Tech - Agri
