Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Job Purpose: To lead and drive the Quality function across Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Receipt Quality Assurance (RQA), Manufacturing Quality Assurance (MQA), Customer Quality, New Product Quality Planning, and Compliance Management, ensuring zero-hour customer complaints, robust supplier performance, manufacturing excellence, and successful new product launches while maintaining compliance with quality standards and audits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Quality Management

  • Drive the organization's objective of achieving Zero Hour Customer Complaints.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing-related customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely response and closure of customer complaints as per defined response timelines.
  • Track and improve Engine RPT performance at customer locations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to eliminate recurring quality issues and enhance customer satisfaction.

2. Receipt Quality Assurance (RQA) & Manufacturing Quality Assurance (MQA)

  • Establish and maintain robust incoming and in-process quality control systems.
  • Drive reduction in:
    • LR PPM (Line Rejection Parts Per Million)
    • GR Rejection Percentage
    • In-house RPT cases.
  • Ensure effective execution and closure of:
    • Process audits
    • Product audits
    • Layered audits
  • Monitor quality trends and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Lead problem-solving activities using quality tools such as 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.

KPI: LR PPM reduction, GR Rejection reduction., Process/Product audit closure compliance. and In-house RPT reduction

3. Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA)

  • Develop supplier quality improvement plans and monitor supplier performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives at supplier facilities.
  • Conduct supplier audits and ensure closure of non-conformities.
  • Improve Supplier Performance Index (SPI).
  • Support suppliers in process capability enhancement and design improvements.
  • Ensure supplier readiness for production and quality requirements.

4. New Product Quality Readiness

  • Lead Quality Planning activities for new product development and launch programs.
  • Ensure APQP and PPAP completion for BS-V, CPCB-IV, and future product platforms.
  • Ensure VPPAP approvals for all new parts and product introductions.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchase, and Suppliers to meet launch timelines.
  • Drive ORC implementation and plant readiness assessments.

5. Quality Systems, Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure readiness and successful completion of:
    • ISO Audits- Internal & External
    • Business Excellence other Audits
    • Customer Process Audits
    • Customer visits at Plant
  • Maintain compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Lead Industry 4.0 and AI-based quality improvement initiatives.
  • Drive digitization and data analytics projects to enhance quality performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Btech OR Diploma in relevant field
