Medical Officer

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Provide medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to employees at the Occupational Health Centre (OHC).
• Handle medical emergencies, workplace injuries, and accidents; coordinate hospital referrals when required.
• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, return-to-work, and statutory medical examinations.
• Certify fitness for duty, sickness absenteeism, and medical fitness as per statutory and company guidelines.
• Prescribe medicines and oversee clinical care provided by nursing/paramedical staff.
• Supervise OHC operations and guide nursing staff in treatment protocols and emergency response.
• Maintain accurate medical records, accident registers, and statutory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, ESI provisions, and Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules.
• Advise management on occupational health risks, ergonomics, and preventive healthcare measures.
• Plan and participate in health promotion activities such as health camps, vaccination drives, and wellness programs.
• Coordinate with hospitals, diagnostic centers, and external medical partners.
• Ensure availability and control of medicines, emergency equipment, and medical consumables at OHC.
