Sr. Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infra for Paint Shop (Civil)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Purpose of the role:
Lead planning, execution, commissioning and operational readiness of civil infrastructure for Paint Shop during the Greenfield project phase and ensure reliable operation, maintenance, compliance and future expansion support of civil assets throughout the facility lifecycle.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead planning, execution and commissioning of civil infrastructure works for Paint Shop during the Greenfield project phase, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budget targets and SOP requirements.
- Drive execution of paint shop buildings, chemical storage facilities, ETP/STP interface structures, utility trenches, ventilation support structures, corrosion-resistant civil works, roads, drainage systems and associated infrastructure required for manufacturing operations.
- Review civil layouts, construction drawings, technical specifications and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations and future expansion plans.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Process Engineering, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for equipment installation, commissioning and production ramp-up activities.
- Manage consultants, contractors and vendors to achieve project objectives related to safety, quality, cost and delivery while ensuring compliance with approved construction standards and schedules.
- Monitor project progress, construction quality, budget utilization and execution risks, and drive corrective actions to ensure timely completion of project milestones and operational readiness.
- Support statutory approvals, inspections, environmental compliance requirements, commissioning activities and infrastructure handover prior to Start of Production (SOP).
- Establish preventive maintenance, asset management and infrastructure reliability systems for buildings, trenches, drainage systems, chemical handling areas and utility structures to support long-term operational requirements.
- Drive civil modifications, facility enhancement projects, capacity expansion initiatives and infrastructure improvements to support future business growth and manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements while fostering a culture of operational excellence, cost optimization and continuous improvement.
Experience
10 -15 years in industrial construction, infrastructure development and greenfield automotive projects.
