Sr. Manager  - Building, Utilities & Other Infra for Design Coordination (Civil)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role:

Lead design coordination, engineering integration and technical governance activities for civil infrastructure projects across the Greenfield Manufacturing Facility and ensure seamless project execution, commissioning readiness and long-term infrastructure sustainability.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead planning, design coordination and engineering integration activities for all civil infrastructure packages of the Greenfield Automotive Manufacturing Facility, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost targets and SOP requirements.
• Review and coordinate civil layouts, construction drawings, technical specifications, design deliverables and engineering standards to ensure constructability, quality and statutory compliance.
• Drive design coordination between Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production and external consultants to ensure seamless execution of project activities.
• Manage engineering consultants, design service providers and contractors to achieve project objectives related to safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Monitor design schedules, project milestones and engineering deliverables, identify risks and drive timely resolution of design interfaces and technical issues.
• Facilitate value engineering, design optimization and standardization initiatives to improve lifecycle cost, operational efficiency, maintainability and future expansion readiness.
• Support statutory approvals, regulatory submissions, design compliance reviews, commissioning activities and infrastructure readiness for Start of Production (SOP).
• Establish engineering document control, drawing revision management and as-built documentation systems while supporting facility modifications, capacity expansion and infrastructure enhancement projects post SOP.

Experience

10-15 years in industrial construction, infrastructure development and greenfield automotive projects.
