Sr. Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infrastructure for Design Coordination (Electrical)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role:

Lead electrical design coordination, engineering integration and technical governance activities for the Greenfield Automotive Manufacturing Facility and ensure successful project execution, commissioning readiness, operational efficiency and future infrastructure scalability.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design coordination activities across all Greenfield project packages to ensure alignment with project timelines, operational requirements and SOP readiness.
  • Review electrical layouts, load calculations, single line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, equipment specifications and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with design standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Industrial Engineering and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of electrical infrastructure and utilities.
  • Manage engineering consultants, design service providers and technical agencies to achieve project objectives related to quality, cost, delivery and compliance.
  • Drive design standardization, value engineering and optimization initiatives to enhance system reliability, maintainability, energy efficiency and lifecycle cost effectiveness.
  • Identify and resolve design interfaces, technical conflicts and engineering issues to support smooth project execution and timely completion of project milestones.
  • Ensure timely release, control and revision management of approved drawings, specifications and engineering documents to support procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
  • Support utility integration, equipment installation, testing, commissioning and operational readiness activities to ensure successful Start of Production (SOP).
  • Monitor engineering changes, maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, statutory regulations and company engineering practices.
  • Support future facility expansion, utility augmentation, modernization and infrastructure optimization projects while promoting continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Experience

10-15 Years in relevent field

Industry Preferred

Automotive OEM / Auto Component / Manufacturing / EPC Projects 

Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech Electrical Engineering
