Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Purpose of the role:
Lead mechanical design coordination, engineering integration and technical governance activities for the Greenfield Automotive Manufacturing Facility and ensure successful project execution, commissioning readiness, operational efficiency and future infrastructure scalability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design coordination activities across all Greenfield project packages to ensure alignment with project timelines, operational requirements and Start of Production (SOP) readiness.
- Coordinate Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and utility engineering designs to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure, utility systems and manufacturing facilities.
- Review layouts, engineering drawings, technical specifications, utility schematics and design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations and future expansion plans.
- Manage engineering consultants, design service providers and technical agencies to achieve project objectives related to quality, cost, delivery and compliance
- Drive design standardization, value engineering and optimization initiatives to improve reliability, maintainability, operational efficiency and lifecycle cost of infrastructure and utility systems.
- Identify and resolve design interfaces, technical conflicts and project execution constraints to support smooth construction, installation and commissioning activities.
- Ensure timely release, control and revision management of approved drawings, specifications and engineering documents to support procurement, construction and project execution.
- Support equipment utility integration, installation planning, commissioning activities and operational readiness to ensure successful achievement of SOP milestones.
- Monitor engineering changes, maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, statutory requirements and company engineering practices.
- Support future capacity expansion, modernization initiatives, utility augmentation and infrastructure optimization projects in line with long-term business growth requirements.
