Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Purpose of the role:
Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning and operational readiness of Mechanical Utilities, Infrastructure and Building Services for the Greenfield Automotive Manufacturing Facility. Ensure projects are delivered within approved quality, cost and timeline targets while supporting SOP readiness, future expansion and operational excellence.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead planning, execution and commissioning of mechanical utility and infrastructure projects including HVAC systems, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, firefighting systems, industrial water systems and utility piping networks.
- Develop project schedules, monitor project milestones and ensure timely completion of mechanical infrastructure projects aligned with SOP requirements.
- Review project scope, layouts, engineering drawings, technical specifications and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality and Industrial Engineering teams for successful project execution and infrastructure integration.
- Manage consultants, contractors, suppliers and service providers to achieve project objectives related to safety, quality, cost and delivery.
- Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, procurement schedules and project risks, and implement corrective actions wherever required.
- Support utility installation, testing, commissioning, performance validation and project handover activities to ensure operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, environmental regulations and company project governance requirements.
- Drive value engineering, cost optimization, productivity improvement and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support future capacity expansion, modernization projects, utility augmentation and infrastructure enhancement initiatives in line with business growth plans.
Experience
10-15 Years in relevant field and Experience in Greenfield Automotive / Industrial Manufacturing Projects will be an added advantage.
