Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. BOQ Preparation and Tendering Process

• Conduct a detailed study of various civil projects to prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and define the Scope of Work.
• Collaborate with the Civil Team to finalize BOQs and float tenders.
• Obtain competitive quotations from established contractors.
• Prepare comparative statements and submit proposals to the Asset Management team for approval.
• Follow up with Asset Management for timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs).

2. Contractor Management and Safety Compliance

• Provide regular training for contractors on Contractor Safety Standards.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Toolbox Talks to ensure safety during project execution.
• Coordinate with shop in-charges/stakeholders to align on project safety requirements before initiating work.

3. Execution and Maintenance Activities

• Expedite the execution of routine civil maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal delays.
• Follow up with the Civil and Asset Management teams for non-Annual Rate Contract (ARC) item negotiations and PO issuance.
• ARC Finalization: Collaborate with Asset Management to finalize ARCs for specific civil activities such as:
  • Structural and ladder removal.
  • Roof repairs (e.g., removal of polycarbonate sheets).

4. Legal and Regulatory Coordination

• Oversee legal liaising with authorities such as DISH, MIDC, and the Factory Inspector to ensure compliance with regulations.

5. Budgeting and Proposals

• Propose budgets for civil projects related to:
  • New business ventures.
  • Expansion projects.
  • Renovations and building maintenance.

6. Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate with fabricators, carpenters, and plumbers for regular maintenance tasks, including washroom repairs.

7. Verification and Billing

• Verify work content and ensure timely clearance of bills for completed tasks.

8. Design and Execution

• Prepare detailed drawings for small fabrication items and oversee their execution as per standards.

9. HAZOP Studies

• Coordinate and conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies.
• Implement corrective measures based on HAZOP findings.
