Deputy Manager - Production (Paint Shop)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Monitor the production schedule according to set targets
• Ensure achievement of measures of Performance (MOP) targets using PDCA approach
• Identify ways to control cost and increase the efficiency of Paint shop production
• Monitor and improve BWT (Body Work Team) performance with respect to PQCDSM
• Anticipate concerns in PT, CED, underbody spray, sealer line, sanding, primer, base coat, top coat , oven, spot repair & wax line and take proactive measures to achieve quick stabilization
• Drive QCRT forums for concern analysis
• Ensure safety on the shop floor and take part in safety related internal/external audits
• Conduct JH & Maintain 3S as per standards
• Tools & equipment Management
• Understanding of ED/Paint defects and Troubleshooting
• Maintain OLE (Overall Line Effectiveness) records, restore minor stoppages & breakdown quickly by taking ICA (Immediate Corrective Action) and PCA (Permanent Corrective Action) to minimize/eliminate recurrence
• Coordinate and provide supporting hand to customers (Internal and External)
• Shop Floor Management
• Manpower deployment & scheduling
• Spare part procurement

Education Qualification

Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical

Diploma in Surface coating technology / B.Tech in Paint technology
