Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job

• Should be having development and homologation experience in following Commercial Vehicle Applications e.g. Ambulances, Garbage tippers, Tankers, containers, Fuel Bowsers, Blood Collection Van, Tippers, Garbage Compactors, Reefers, STC bus etc.
• Knowledge base of application body builders & also specific component supplier base for such applications
• Market intelligence of various OEM’s development and supplies, current tenders & TIV for this applications
• Good understanding of different processes for part development.
• Commercial acumen about various processes and materials (MHR, conversion cost, markup)
• Knowledge of Machine and various machining Process.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems (Technical know-how of the products)
• Well acquainted with Techno commercial of parts (RFQ / Quote Synthesis etc)

B.E/B. Tech –Mechanical/Automobile

General Requirements

• Floating RFQ’s for getting techno-commercial proposals from Suppliers.
• Support SSU by providing information /data for commercial discussion and negotiation with suppliers.
• Ensure cost viability of designs by giving inputs to Product Development regarding Raw Material availability/cost and process cost.
• Prepare and raise PO to suppliers.
• Verse with IMCR / VAVE process and methodology
• Commercial acumen: Cost estimation of the process, FTG involved & Packaging to accurately estimate CAPEX requirements-(develop and monitor the CAPEX)
• Proactively identifying & resolving problems and maintaining quality standards
• Facilitation & ensuring deployment of the new and the revised standards by interfacing with functions.
• Good knowledge of quality tools and processes Ensure seamless flow of information on quality concerns to seniors.
• Monitoring & Tracking Part development as per MPDS guidelines
• Releasing schedules & Procuring parts based on project gateways to ensure smooth vehicle builds.
• APQP and tracking at all the stages of product development.
