Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Responsibilities
- Lead component development from concept/RFQ through development, validation, tooling and SOP.
- Drive techno-commercial evaluation of suppliers, ensuring technical feasibility, cost competitiveness and programme requirements.
- Manage RFQ, TSO, commercial quotes and supplier quote evaluation, quote synthesis in coordination with Engineering, Quality, other CFT functions.
- Evaluate supplier technical proposals, manufacturing feasibility, capacity, investment and commercial competitiveness.
- Drive should-costing, cost benchmarking, VA/VE, localization and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Own supplier development and readiness for prototype, validation, pre-production and SOP requirements, well versed with Material management 
- Coordinate with Strategic sourcing for easing out VOB process and Product cost management team to work out Should be costing.
- Track tooling, prototype parts, FTG and component readiness against programme milestones.
- Should well versed with SAP knowledge on T-codes used for PO preparation, materials movement, inventory evaluation, stock management and control
- Develop and maintain commodity/supplier strategy, including alternate-source and supply-risk mitigation.
- Ensure adherence to APQP, PPAP and Mahindra quality requirements.

-Component development and programme milestones, materials management
- RFQ / TSO / commercial closure, Quote evaluations and Quote synthesis and VOB 
- Cost targets and sourcing savings
- Supplier readiness and FTG, should drive supplier development, FTG development to meet program timelines.
- Track on suppliers tooling payment, timely PO generation, MIS 
- VA/VE and localization
- Tooling and development investment
- Supply-risk mitigation

Experience

8-12 Years of Experience

Industry Preferred

Automotive Industry

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production
MBA/PG qualification is an advantage.

General Requirements

Strong experience in Steering & Brakes system & components, must have technical domain knowledge on components and its function in vehicle.
Experience in component development, materials management and techno-commercial activities.
Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities. 
Expertise in RFQ, TSO, commercial quote evaluation, costing and negotiation.

Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFM/DFA and supplier development.
Strong CFT, stakeholder management, negotiation and programme-management skills.
Should exhibit collaborative, agile and bolt behaviours in working culture.
Should be good team player and go getter.

Should be ready to travel extensively, mainly for product development and materials management.
