MANAGER - E&E (Electrical Architecture & CAD)
Pune, MT-ChakanOffice, IN
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automotive Electrical Architect with expertise in harness routing and CAD packaging to join our team. This role will focus on developing electrical system architectures, optimizing wire harness layouts, and ensuring the seamless integration of electrical components into automotive designs. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of automotive electrical systems, electrical harness routing, packaging constraints, and advanced CAD software tools used in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical System Architecture:
o Design and define the architecture of the vehicle's electrical system,
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams,
o Perform system-level trade-off analysis to balance cost, weight, efficiency, and performance.
o Specify high-level electrical component requirements (e.g., connectors, ECUs, and fuses) and ensure integration within the overall electrical design.
2. Harness Routing Design:
o Develop detailed wire harness routing layouts by utilizing industry-standard design practices, considering space constraints, ease of assembly, electrical interference, and safety.
o Optimize wire harness designs to minimize the length of wiring, ensure proper routing of wires through the vehicle, and reduce weight while maintaining functionality and compliance with vehicle safety standards (e.g., crash safety and fire safety).
o Evaluate the electrical load distribution to determine the correct wire gauge, insulation, and material selection for each harness section.
o Ensure proper routing of wires and cables, avoiding interference with moving parts, hot surfaces, and other sensitive components, while also considering the best practices for vibration resistance and durability.
