Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Candidate to have experience in driving development of electrical and electronic systems for Commercial vehicles, including parts like Cluster, wiring harness, starter, alternator, battery etc

Desired Competency on E&E System component design, Integration, application on vehicle level preferable from Automotive background

Detailed design domain expertise on electrical systems like Electrical Distribution System

Expertise in Cap- Harness, Capital-Logic design, Hardware selection),

Knowledge of Driver controls, Rotating machines, Electrical system Architecture integration like ECU, Sensor, etc...

Hands on experience on Common rail system integration, LIN Based alternator integration, Engine start stop Logic, Li-Ion battery system Integration & its application on vehicle.

Knowledge of all subsystems of the vehicle to work out the interface architecture for the vehicle.

Moderate knowledge on all communication protocols like CAN, LIN & PWM.

Knowledge on Homologation requirements of Automotive.

Initiate, Interact with CFT & Lead the design engineers for system integration to realise the required E&E feature with Quality, Cost and Time.

Releasing all technical specification to suppliers for components/systems

Validating the components by making proper test cases in both component and vehicle level to give issue free product to customer.

Meeting the cost targets specified without compromising quality of the product and bringing out some cost-effective solution through IMCR/VAVE activities.

Knowledge on Field failure & analysis: Analysing on field reported concerns and giving solution to reduce/eliminate it and capturing that issue in upcoming products.

Should have knowledge on working of BOM details of components.

Must demonstrate a high degree of problem-solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of Quality tools, DFMEA,7 QC tools Design Reviews & Project management

Should have Moderate knowledge on DFA, DFS, QFD, APQP, PPAP, GD & T,

Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.

Moderate knowledge on DMU packaging reviews, Concerns resolution, Preparation of DMU reports & sign off.

Knowledge on vehicle packaging and DMU sign off considering existing homologation requirements and future upcoming regulations

Knowledge and Awareness of system integration.

Interfacing with all inter dept teams from start to end of project to ensure First Time Right.

Awareness of vehicle E&E technology and fundamental knowledge of application engineering.

Always drive the development with firm planning and mitigation options.

In-depth knowledge on systems like design review’s/ DFMEA’s

Specialized, Technical Good knowledge on vehicle electrical, electronics system & interfacing parts.

Manufacturing of E&E aggregates.

Maintaining quality level targets as per agreement.
