Job Purpose

To ensure safety of all associates at the designated project

Principal Accountabilities

• Assisting Project Manager in implementing the EHS Plan
• Understanding the Policy, targets and objectives of company and update all concerned
• Implementing Company EHS Policy, Procedures and to fulfil the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
• Preparing project EHS Plan, standard operating procedure (SOP) for various activities and implementation
• Assessing the Risk associated with various task and propose the mitigation Plan
• Conducting regular Inspection for potential hazard, unsafe actions etc. and suggest suitable improvement/ corrective measures and escalate to Management
• Preparation and review of project emergency plan
• Coordinating with concerned department to ensure statute compliance
• Assisting the Project Manager and coordinate with Safety Supervisor for the implementation of the EHS program within corresponding work groups
• Assisting Project lead in formulating the safety committee, preparation of Agenda, Action Plan and preparing the Minutes of Meeting
• Enhancing safety awareness through promotional activities
• Conducting mock drills
• Updating self and keeping others informed on current EHS statute requirements, codes of practices etc.
• Coordinating with all concerned to achieve targets and objects defined by company
• Following the formats defined by the company and preserve the documents
• Following the check lists and permit system and preserve and present the same for audits/ Inspections
• Preparing EHS statistics and circulate to all concerned
• Maintaining records of training, exposure monitoring, investigations and medical examinations

Qualification and Experience

• Recognized degree in any branch of engineering or technology or architecture
• Recognized degree or diploma in industrial safety
• 10-12 years of work experience
