About the Role

Mahindra HZPC Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Executive - Logistics to join our MHZPC division under Mahindra Agri Solutions. This vital role supports the seamless management of our supply chain and cold storage logistics operations, directly impacting the efficiency and reliability of our agricultural product delivery system. The Senior Executive will be expected to work closely with internal teams and local authorities to optimize processes and ensure full compliance with transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and regulate temperature control systems in cold storage facilities to maintain optimal conditions for agricultural produce.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing inward and outward logistics activities, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
• Lead cold storage audits and perform stringent quality checks upon arrival and dispatch of products to guarantee product integrity.
• Collaborate closely with the transport team to allocate vehicles promptly, facilitating safe and timely delivery.
• Implement strategies for cost control, vendor management, and supply chain optimization to improve overall logistics efficiency.
• Analyze logistics data, prepare management information systems (MIS) reports, and present regular updates to the Logistics Manager.
• Manage cold storage inventory effectively, monitoring conditions and reporting any variations in storage environment or stock status.
• Ensure timely dispatch of potato shipments based on indent requirements, maintaining accuracy and responsiveness to demand.
• Supervise and manage manpower including cold storage laborers, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
• Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to transportation and storage.
• Maintain strong communication and coordination across teams to support seamless operations and address any logistical challenges proactively.

Qualifications and Skills

• Post Graduation (M.Sc.(Ag) / MBA) or Graduation (B.Sc.(Ag) / BA / B.Com / BBA) in relevant fields.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, and inventory control, preferably within the agricultural or cold storage sectors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros, with hands-on experience in SAP systems.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards applicable to logistics operations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to work in rural areas and manage onsite cold storage logistics operations.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel to various operational sites and local authorities to facilitate audits, compliance checks, and coordination of logistics activities.
