Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As a Territory Manager - Sales at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd in the Farm Division, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the business by generating and converting enquiries for the Mahindra portfolio targeted towards farmers with high land holdings. Your responsibilities will include offering farm mechanization solutions for various crop stages, partnering to enhance farm productivity by showcasing proof of concept and demo models, exploring new revenue opportunities for farmers, and upskilling laborers/tractor drivers to improve application on farm mechanization equipment usage. You will be tasked with bundled solution-based selling and showcasing the superiority of Mahindra tractor + implement product range.

Education Qualification

To excel in this role, you should ideally possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Agriculture, Business Management, or Sales. Any additional certifications or advanced degrees in Sales or Agribusiness would be advantageous. A strong understanding of the farm sector and experience working with farmers in a sales capacity are highly desirable.

General Experience

The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience in sales and business development within the agriculture or farm sector. Familiarity with territory management, lead generation, market research, and customer relationship management is essential. Previous experience in promoting farm mechanization equipment and demonstrating its benefits will be a significant advantage.

Critical Experience

Having critical experience in negotiating contracts, managing key accounts, and implementing successful sales strategies will set you up for success in this role. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue generation, deliver exceptional customer service, and meet sales targets is crucial. Strong skills in data analysis, market intelligence, and performance management will be key in devising effective sales plans and strategies.
