Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. Lead and Manage the cross-functional team (CFT) associated with the program to develop and launch programs on time in line with the contract
  2. Drive program in adherence with Mahindra Electric’s internal Product Development Process
  3. Ensure all project deliverables are completed and archived by the cross-functional team (CFT) leading to gateway completion on time as well as successful PPAP completion
  4. Develop, maintain and communicate project master timing plan and risk register using clear means of communication and industry-standard tools (MS Project, etc.,)
  5. Monitor and Manage project scope; lead assessment and agreement of scope change to customer and internal stakeholders.
  6. Project Financial Control – Manage and Track program performance and ensure adherence to budget agreed in quote phase / approval phase in terms of man-power cost, material cost, conversion cost, investments and expenses.
  7. Maintain Program Status Reports (Program Management Templates) and use reports as a Management Tool for performance monitoring against Customer (internal / external) expectations
  8. Communicate and negotiate timing, maturity and key deliverables with customer and internal stakeholders.
  9. Coordinate and manage program build and launch readiness with respective stakeholders
  10. Facilitate resolution of development, manufacturing and business issues.
  11. Responsible for facilitating APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow
  12. Develops awareness for the customer’s needs, maintains and enhances customer relations


About 12 year's experience

Mandatory Skills / Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of automotive product development processes - cradle to grave
  • Conversant with PLM Tools and Project Management Tools including MS Project, Polarion
  • Customer Interface Experience interfacing directly with customers' product engineering, quality, manufacturing, and commercial teams
  • Aware of OEM's development process & APQP deliverables
  • Commercial awareness to track project costs, investments and profitability metrics
  • Experience in electric vehicle development and technologies is a significant advantage


  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master‘s Degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics). MBA would be an added qualification
  • Program Management Certification: PMP / ACP Certified
