Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Drive engine assembly processes and ensure robust process validation to meet quality and production standards
  • Implement and sustain quality assurance practices, including zero-defect initiatives and poka-yoke systems
  • Ensure all in-process quality checks are conducted in line with defined SOPs and standards
  • Apply core quality tools such as MPPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC for process control and improvement
  • Monitor daily internal rejections, analyze trends, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure timely resolution of customer complaints (Zero & 1 MIS focus)
  • Plan and conduct process, product, and layered audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement areas
  • Ensure adherence to QMS standards and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations
  • Use structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, QC tools) for root cause analysis and defect elimination
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and perform detailed rejection analysis
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of ISO/IATF standards and ensure compliance with documentation requirements

Experience

4+ years

Industry Preferred

ICE industry OEMs ( TATA Motors, Ashok Leyland, ISUZU, Piagio, Force, Cummins, Honda)

Qualifications

Btech Automobile/Mechanical

General Requirements

Mfg. process knowledge of  Engine Assembly process.
Knowledge on Engine parts machining such as cylinder head, cylinder block and Crank Case.
Hands on experience for using QC instruments like vernier, Micrometer, etc
Knowledge on tightening tools application- DC controllers, Electric & pneumatic guns.
Hands on experience on developing end of line test for verification & validation
Knowledge on Powertrain parts, Crank Case, Gears and fuel lines circuit.
Basic knowledge on engine trouble shooting I.e. Fault Tree Analysis for issues such as starting problem, noise and oil leakage
Exposure to Engine leak testing and Engine Fire testing/Hot testing at Rig/Dyno.
