Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Automation Ideation and Technology: Leading shop floor, machine, and process studies, discussing and supporting optimized solutions. Understand the data inputs available from machines, processes etc. and co-relate with objectives associated with specific projects, Automation, and integrated workflows, to enable data fidelity and collection of data at source. Work with following areas: IoT sensors, actuators & interfaces, Data extraction and edge calculations, Parameter sampling validation and storage, Embedded controls, Edge analysis sampling and data normalization, Scenario creation for prediction of faults & performance, Data transformation and transfer, Edge Analytics with signal-data transformation, Scenario creation for Machine-Line-Shop,

Manufacturing Analytics – Machines & Processes, Derive the visualization and interfaces for a range of manufacturing digitization initiatives. Consolidation of Data generating device methods, Sensorics for Power/Machine and Process visualisation, Cycle based standardisation for machines, Data categorisation for MES terminals and Manufacturing devices, Enablement of data input from key touch points in manufacturing value chain, Supplier Process data transfer, etc. Technology evaluation for projects & standardisation of digital interface (hardware/software/embedded) modules for shop data integration.

Projects & Sustainenace: Project planning and Management, (using MS Project or similar tools). Engagement details for projects, milestones in coordination with project execution team and vendors, and maintaining project tracking status across multiple projects. Deployment of MES and digitisation projects in manufacturing leading the project from initial stages to Go Live and handover to sustenance. Interface of sustenance functions and automation of the same, to enable anticipated support on devices, applications and overall make the existing systems automated and capable of remote support through Nerve Centre. Budget management of project and digitisation development PoCs as applicable.

Project reviews with stakeholders at plant level and central coordination for the same. PR to PO coordination with Asset Management. Close coordination with all plant heads and digital champions for Scoping of machines lines and for Project deployment. Stakeholder management of Close synchronisation with IT infra team on Server/Cloud and infrastructure requirements for projects involving compute, storage, bandwidth scaling etc. Regular interaction with plan teams, to analyses penetration of MES/Digital modules. Support to realize the KPIs of individual plants is a must. Deviation in realizing benefits to be tracked on plant related dashboards. Noting down positives of given dashboards, reports, and requirements to improve analysis are a key aspect of these interactions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. /B.Tech.) Branch: Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA & above

General Requirements

He/She should have Sound technical knowledge of industrial control systems and MES IoT Eco space. Hands on experience in PLC programming, Kepware, Tag mapping, industrial control buses (Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, Profibus etc.).

Hands on experience with Sensors, and Siemens/Schneider/Rockwell/Mitsubishi/ etc. PLCs. Functional understanding of data sampling, signal conditioning, and analysis of linear and non -linear systems. Eagerness to work in an Analytics environment (e.g. Python, ) and utilization of required tools (such as Pandas/Mat plot lib etc.).

Hands on exposure to industrial device configuration and capability like industrial bar codes RFID, wireless devices, analogue digital sensors. Documentation of all above in digital media like MS Visio, word and PowerPoint, based on specific requirements is a must. 

Able to work independently, good team player with effective problem solving, business communication and analytical skills. He/She need to have ability for quick understanding of user requirements and convert them to technical cases / use cases.

Must be good in ability in problem solving and bug fixing for developed applications. Enthusiastic in learning new technologies for enhancing efficiency at work. He/She must be able to understand the already developed manufacturing web-applications, distributed windows applications.
