Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Maintain agreed-upon inventory levels to ensure a consistent and efficient flow of raw materials and components from the supply chain to the manufacturing facility, minimizing production disruptions.
  • Participate actively in planning inventory, defining optimal inventory thresholds, and holding adjustment authority to align with dynamic production and market demands.
  • Monitor inventory levels continuously, utilizing inventory management systems to track stock movements and identify discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure full compliance with established company policies, procedures, and industry regulations to uphold operational integrity and quality standards.
  • Implement and oversee loss prevention protocols and best practices across inventory handling to minimize waste, theft, and inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and procurement teams to synchronize supply requirements, optimize inventory turnover, and reduce holding costs.
  • Lead and manage day-to-day activities of the Material Logistics and Inventory team (MLL), fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Drive process improvements in inventory management systems with a focus on accuracy, traceability, and responsiveness to business needs.
  • Generate detailed reports and analyses of inventory performance, propose corrective actions, and contribute to strategic supply chain planning discussions.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives related to demand forecasting, supplier performance evaluation, and cost reduction strategies.

Education Qualification

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline. This educational foundation provides essential knowledge in manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and supply chain dynamics.

Additional certifications or training in supply chain management, inventory control, or logistics will be an added advantage and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.

Ongoing learning and development in relevant software tools, industry best practices, and leadership skills are encouraged to maintain alignment with evolving business demands.

General Experience

The candidate should bring 3 to 5 years of professional experience in inventory management, supply chain coordination, or related roles within manufacturing or automotive industries.

Experience should include hands-on involvement with inventory planning, stock monitoring, supplier coordination, and implementing inventory optimization techniques that support lean manufacturing principles.

Exposure to ERP systems and supply chain planning software is essential to manage data effectively and support decision-making processes.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are expected to manage cross-departmental relationships and ensure operational efficiency.

Critical Experience

Critical experience includes proven expertise in maintaining inventory levels that balance production demands with cost-efficiency, particularly in the automotive or similarly complex manufacturing environments.

Demonstrated ability to implement loss prevention methods and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards is vital.

Leadership experience overseeing teams focused on inventory or logistics operations, with capabilities to influence and motivate staff to achieve operational objectives.

Experience in collaborating with procurement and manufacturing departments to align supply chain activities with organizational goals is crucial.
