Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As the Deputy Manager for Cabin & Exports within the Tractor Assembly & Testing Department at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, development, and manufacturing processes of tractor cabins to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and ergonomics. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the entire lifecycle of cabin production, coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and quality control to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising export operations, ensuring compliance with international regulations, customs procedures, and timely delivery schedules. This includes liaising with global partners, understanding diverse market requirements, and contributing to strategic planning for expanding international market presence.

Education Qualification

The ideal candidate will hold a solid educational foundation in mechanical or automobile engineering disciplines, complemented by practical knowledge relevant to manufacturing environments.

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), Bachelors of Technology (Mechanical), or equivalent qualifications.
  • Diploma or Bachelor-level qualifications in Automobile Engineering are highly desirable, reflecting the specific technical knowledge required for tractor cabin and export activities.
  • Additional certifications or training in international trade compliance, quality management systems (such as ISO standards), and supply chain management will be an advantage.

Educational credentials should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and automotive design principles pertinent to tractor assembly and cabin development.

General Experience

Applicants should possess between 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector, ideally within agricultural machinery or automobile component production.

Experience must include hands-on involvement in tractor or heavy machinery cabin design and assembly, exposure to export logistics, and working within cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets. Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems, quality assurance protocols, and export documentation processes is essential.

Proven competence in managing projects related to product development, supply chain optimization, or international compliance will be advantageous, as will experience in driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Demonstrated expertise in tractor manufacturing, specifically in cabin design, ergonomic enhancements, and vehicle assembly processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of export regulations, international trade compliance, and customs procedures related to agricultural equipment.
