Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

  • Manage employee and union relations to maintain a harmonious workplace.
  • Resolve grievances, disciplinary issues, and workplace conflicts.
  • Partner with employees, supervisors, management, and union representatives for conflict resolution.
  • Implement preventive actions to reduce recurrence of employee issues.
  • Handle sensitive IR matters with sound judgment and professionalism.

2. Workforce Planning & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Onboard NAPS, NATS, and contract manpower to ensure the right workforce mix.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes from joining to separation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave management, and workforce deployment.
  • Conduct campus hiring through ITIs and Diploma colleges.
  • Support talent retention through employee benefits and engagement initiatives.

3. Labour Law Compliance & Statutory Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • File monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
  • Maintain compliance records and supporting documents on required portals.
  • Monitor changes in labour legislation and assess organizational impact.
  • Ensure legal compliance across workforce practices and policies.

4. Training, Skill Development & Capability Building

  • Design and deliver training programs for employees.
  • Develop skill matrices to ensure workforce readiness.
  • Conduct programs on labour laws, employee relations, conflict resolution, discipline, and communication.
  • Drive continuous learning and people development initiatives.

5. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee engagement surveys and action plans.
  • Enhance employee morale, satisfaction, retention, and organizational commitment.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture.

6. Stakeholder Management & External Relations

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with government authorities, educational institutions, and other agencies.
  • Partner with ITIs and Diploma colleges for talent acquisition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on workforce and business priorities.

7. Cost Management & Budgeting

  • Drive manpower cost optimization while maintaining productivity and compliance.
  • Support annual manpower planning and budgeting processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to manage workforce-related operating costs effectively.

8. Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain employee relations, grievance, disciplinary, and compliance records.
  • Ensure proper documentation of investigations, settlements, and statutory requirements.
  • Support governance, audits, and legal compliance through accurate record management.
