Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee in the Tractor Assembly department, you will be involved in supporting the assembly of tractors and sub-assemblies while gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in assembly line activities, maintaining production records, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards throughout the assembly process.
- You will support the team in identifying and resolving assembly-related issues, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining accurate documentation of production and quality parameters. Working closely with cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, you will gain exposure to end-to-end tractor manufacturing processes.
- The role requires active participation in production reviews, safety meetings, and training programs while contributing to operational efficiency and workplace organization. You will also support preventive maintenance activities, tooling management, and implementation of lean manufacturing practices. Through practical exposure, you will develop technical expertise in tractor assembly processes, quality systems, and manufacturing excellence principles.

Education Qualification
- Graduates holding a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in relevant disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related fields.
- The educational background should provide a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including manufacturing processes, machine elements, production systems, materials science, engineering drawing, and quality management principles. Candidates should possess a strong desire to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical manufacturing environment.
- Fresh graduates with consistent academic performance and participation in technical projects, internships, industrial training, or extracurricular activities related to manufacturing, assembly operations, or automotive engineering will be preferred.
General Experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes gained through academic projects, internships, industrial visits, or practical exposure, with a willingness to learn and grow in a production environment.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, assembly operations, torque tightening practices, quality control processes, safety standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); exposure to CAD software, ERP systems, or production data reporting tools will be an added advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Critical Experience
- The critical experience required for success in this role includes a solid academic foundation in core engineering subjects such as manufacturing processes, machine design, industrial engineering, quality systems, and production technology.
- Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to apply engineering concepts through academic projects, laboratory work, internships, or industrial training related to automotive systems, assembly operations, or manufacturing processes. Exposure to production environments and assembly workflows will be advantageous in understanding tractor manufacturing operations.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify and resolve basic assembly-related issues are essential. Familiarity with production quality requirements, workplace safety practices, 5S principles, and lean manufacturing concepts will enable quicker adaptation to shop-floor operations.
- Additionally, candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling productive collaboration with team members across Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain functions while contributing to Mahindra's commitment to operational excellence and sustainable manufacturing practices.
