Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee in the Engine Transmission, Hydraulics, and Front Axle department, you will support manufacturing and assembly operations related to transmission systems, hydraulic assemblies, and front axle components used in tractors. Your responsibilities will include assisting in assembly activities, maintaining process documentation, monitoring quality parameters, and ensuring adherence to established production standards.
- You will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to support troubleshooting activities, identify process improvement opportunities, and contribute to operational efficiency. The role will provide exposure to component assembly, testing procedures, defect analysis, and quality assurance practices across critical drivetrain and hydraulic systems.
- You will actively participate in production reviews, safety initiatives, training programs, and continuous improvement projects while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Through practical learning and hands-on involvement, you will develop technical expertise in assembly processes, manufacturing systems, and operational excellence practices.

Graduates holding a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related disciplines.

The educational background should demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including machine design, manufacturing processes, fluid mechanics, hydraulic systems, strength of materials, engineering drawing, and quality management principles. Candidates should possess a strong interest in manufacturing operations and a willingness to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical industrial environment.

Fresh graduates with consistent academic performance and participation in technical projects, internships, industrial training, or extracurricular activities related to automotive systems, transmissions, hydraulics, or mechanical assemblies will be preferred.
General Experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes gained through academic projects, internships, industrial training, or practical exposure, with a willingness to learn and contribute in a shop-floor environment.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, assembly operations, hydraulic systems, transmission components, quality control practices, safety standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); exposure to CAD software, ERP systems, and data reporting tools will be an added advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Critical Experience
- The critical experience essential for success in this role includes a strong academic foundation in core engineering subjects such as manufacturing processes, machine design, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, power transmission systems, materials science, and quality assurance principles.
- Candidates should have demonstrated the application of engineering concepts through laboratory work, technical projects, internships, or industrial training involving mechanical assemblies, hydraulic systems, transmission mechanisms, or automotive components. Such exposure will support a better understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly operations within a tractor production environment.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to identify and resolve assembly-related issues are essential. Familiarity with assembly line operations, defect analysis, 5S practices, lean manufacturing principles, and workplace safety standards will enable faster adaptation to shop-floor requirements.
- Additionally, candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling productive collaboration with cross-functional teams while contributing to Mahindra's commitment to operational excellence, product quality, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
