Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee in the Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) department, you will support the inspection and validation of finished tractors prior to dispatch, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include assisting in vehicle inspection activities, verifying assembly completeness, recording inspection findings, and maintaining accurate quality documentation.
You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Dispatch teams to identify and resolve product-related issues before shipment. The role will provide exposure to final inspection processes, defect identification, quality assurance practices, testing procedures, and customer-centric quality standards.
You will participate in quality reviews, corrective action initiatives, process audits, and continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and dispatch readiness. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and organizational standards while contributing to the delivery of defect-free products. Through hands-on learning and structured training, you will develop expertise in inspection techniques, quality systems, and manufacturing excellence practices.

Education Qualification
Graduates holding a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
The educational background should demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including manufacturing processes, quality management, vehicle systems, engineering drawing, materials science, and inspection methodologies. Candidates should possess a keen interest in quality assurance and manufacturing operations.
Fresh graduates with consistent academic performance and participation in technical projects, internships, industrial training, or extracurricular activities related to quality, manufacturing, inspection, or automotive systems will be preferred.

The critical experience essential for success in this role includes a strong academic foundation in manufacturing processes, quality assurance, automobile systems, inspection techniques, engineering drawing interpretation, and problem-solving methodologies.
Candidates should have demonstrated the application of these concepts through academic projects, laboratory work, internships, industrial training, or practical assignments involving product inspection, quality analysis, testing activities, manufacturing processes, or automotive systems. Such exposure will provide a practical understanding of quality requirements and final product validation processes.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the capability to identify, document, and support resolution of product defects are essential. Familiarity with quality tools, inspection standards, root cause analysis, 5S principles, and workplace safety practices will enable effective contribution from the outset.
Additionally, candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling productive collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Dispatch teams while contributing to Mahindra's commitment to delivering high-quality products, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
