Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Defect-Free Parts Availability for Production:

   • Inspect critical parts at receipt stage and decide on acceptance.
   • Conduct detailed inspections including metallurgical tests for new/revised parts.
   • Verify parts and parameters for reported functional/fitment issues and communicate to stakeholders.

2. Sustaining Critical Parameters:

   • Identify and audit critical parameters affecting product performance in consultation with relevant QA teams.
   • Ensure audits are conducted as planned and highlight non-conformances for resolution.

3. Control Over Non-Conforming Parts:

   • Reject non-conforming parts and communicate to stakeholders.
   • Manage reacceptance through proper deviation or superseding processes.

4. Analysis of Functional/Fitment Issues:

   • Verify dimensional parameters.
   • Conduct Good/Bad analysis and tolerance stack-up studies.

5. Timely Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Communicate non-conformities immediately through electronic media.
   • Coordinate inter-plant communication for major issues.
   • Jointly verify critical non-conformities and manage DFR/Non-DFT processes.

6. Proactive Measures for Supplier Quality Improvement:

   • Identify disruptive suppliers and implement learnings in new part development.
   • Monitor and improve Direct Online (No inspection) status.
   • Explore and share new technologies for consistent part quality.
   • Share defect categories with SQI for new project development.

7. Reactive Measures for Supplier Quality Improvement:

   • Identify and improve high-impact projects with a 7-step methodology.
   • Conduct Gemba visits for problem understanding.
   • Collaborate with suppliers, designers, and SQI teams for root cause analysis and solutions.
   • Focus on resolving repeat production loss cases and improving health card RPH.
   • Execute supplier consequence management policy for critical cases.

8. Data Management & Reporting:

   • Review key parameters daily.
   • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on critical parameters like production loss.
   • Maintain MIS for all key indicators.
   • Review and revise procedures, work instructions, SOPs, and formats.

9. Precision Measurement, Calibration & Budget Management:

   • Calibrate tooling in-house and critical measuring equipment through third parties.
   • Manage annual capital and revenue budgets.
   • Maintain precision inspection equipment like 3D CMM, contour tracers, profile projectors, etc.

10. Auditing Skills:

• Conduct workplace, document, system, and part/process audits
