Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As a Senior Engineer in NVH at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd your responsibilities include:

  • Carry out frequency domain and time domain analysis in system level and vehicle level for evaluating the dynamic characteristics using CAE tools.
  • Validate and correlate the simulation results with physical test data and setup process / standards for CAE methodologies.
  • Involvement in the project from concept phase to start of production, handling the field and quality issues, contributing with analysis for improvement in BSR-NVH domain.
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate BSR-NVH solutions early in the development phase.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of the findings from benchmarks for projects to build top-notch quality products.

Experience

We seek candidates with 2 to 4 years of proven experience as an NVH/BSR Simulation Engineer, ideally within the automotive industry context. Candidates should possess hands-on experience in developing and validating NVH models, executing simulation tasks, and interpreting results to influence vehicle design decisions.

Additional skills that will enhance your candidature include proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automating simulation workflows, as well as familiarity with emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applied towards NVH prediction and analysis. Demonstrated ability in these areas will enable innovative approaches to model optimization and data-driven decision-making.

Experience in working closely with design and testing teams to validate simulation results against experimental data is highly valued. Your capacity to adapt to evolving engineering methodologies and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team will support the continuous advancement of our NVH capabilities.

Industry Preferred

Preferred industry background is within the automotive sector, where exposure to vehicle dynamics, structural analysis, and noise & vibration engineering is prominent. Experience working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or Tier 1 suppliers in automotive product development would be advantageous.

Knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulations, and vehicle certification processes related to NVH performance will further strengthen your alignment with this role. Familiarity with the latest trends in electric and hybrid vehicle NVH considerations is also beneficial, given the evolving landscape of automotive powertrains.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A Master's degree (M.Tech or equivalent) in the relevant field is highly preferred, reflecting deeper technical expertise and research experience in NVH or computational mechanics.

Academic excellence accompanied by practical exposure to advanced simulation tools and methods is essential. Certifications or specialized training in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), NVH measurement techniques, or CAE software tools will be considered an asset.

Strong foundational knowledge in subjects such as dynamics, material science, vibrations, and computational methods is expected to successfully address the complexities faced in vehicle NVH engineering.
